Bailey Gardiner and Fishtank Launch i.d.e.a. – a Full-Service Creative Group

SAN DIEGO Bailey Gardiner (BG) and Fishtank Brand Advertising have come together to form a new company: i.d.e.a. Combining more than 50 years of industry experience between the founders, i.d.e.a. is a full-service creative group dedicated to producing powerful and culturally relevant work for national and regional brands.

“BG and Fishtank have collaborated on numerous projects with outstanding results,” said Jonathan Bailey, founder and chief relationships officer for i.d.e.a. “Although we have each built successful businesses the last seven to 17 years, we knew that uniting our complementary teams would allow us to better serve on a national level.”BG was founded by Bailey and Indra Gardiner in 1995; it has been a top integrated marketing agency in San Diego and a recognized industry leader, garnering numerous awards for its public relations, social media, blogger relations and advertising work. Fishtank, a high-concept creative boutique founded by Ryan Berman and Mike Fennessy in 2004, was able to quickly expand beyond the local San Diego market to produce national branding and advertising campaigns for clients including Puma, UNICEF, Autism Society of America, Ringling Bros., Vivitar, PONY and Von Dutch. “Consumers, our ultimate client, are changing at a rapid pace,” said Berman, founder and chief creative officer of i.d.e.a. “This new formation allows us to strongly place our right-sized ideas – no matter the platform – in ways that move those clients to take action.”i.d.e.a. has retained all clients from both BG and Fishtank. The company will continue to drive results through its core disciplines: advertising, branding, public relations, social media, design, experiential, digital, mobile and media strategy. The company has also established i.n.n.o. – an in-house innovations group focused on identifying additional streams of revenue for both clients and i.d.e.a. by creating new products, media and concepts.
Effective March 2, i.d.e.a. opens its doors at 444 W. Beech St. in San Diego’s Little Italy neighborhood. To learn more, find i.d.e.a. at www.theideabrand.com, on Twitter @theideabrand or on Facebook at www.facebook.com/theideabrand. Read the blog at Great Matters.
